Government to consider reopening more sectors after CMCO ends

Sectors such as social, sports and education may be allowed to resume once the current Conditional Movement Control Order ends on June 9th.
Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says it will consider reopening these sectors, if we continue to report a low number of daily COVID-19 cases.
He adds that the CMCO has made a positive impact as there has been an encouraging recovery phase.
This comes after the country reported 30 new cases yesterday, raising the total number of infections to 7,762
Meanwhile, the recovery rate is 81%.
The death toll remains at 115 after zero fatalities were recorded for an eighth consecutive day.
COVID-19 positive undocumented migrants to be transferred to MAEPS
Over 20 undocumented migrants being treated for COVID-19 will be transferred to the Malaysian Agro Exposition Park in Serdang (MAEPS).
Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says this is after one of the migrants attempted to escape custody at the Sungai Buloh hospital.
He adds that from now on, only Malaysians and documented foreigners will be placed at the hospital.
Interstate travel permit to be extended to spouses in seperate states
Starting tomorrow, interstate travel will be allowed for spouses living in separate states during the Conditional Movement Control Order.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says currently you are only allowed to travel to different states for work and emergency situations.
On another note, the government has repealed its directive for students to clear out their belongings from their university dorms.
Datuk Seri Ismail says this is after some students were unable to return to their dorms due to the interstate travel ban.
