Government announces new PENJANA Economic plan

The government is allocating some RM35 billion under the new PENJANA Economic plan.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says PENJANA's 40 initiatives will introduce various measures to help the economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
This includes various tax breaks, grants, and other incentives to spur various economic sectors.
It also has several schemes to help retain workers and find new jobs for the unemployed.
Meanwhile, various incentives will be given to encourage more employees to work from home.
And the MY30 programme will be introduced to help ease the burden of public transport users in the Klang Valley
While a one-off payment of 300 ringgit will be given to single mothers and the OKU, before Hari Raya Aidiladha.
Malaysia reports first COVID-19 death after 13 days
Malaysia’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 116, after 1 fatality was reported today.
19 new infection cases have been reported today, raising our total number of cases to 8,266
Meanwhile, 51 patients were discharged from hospital, and 19 new cases were reported, raising the total number of infection cases to 8,266.
37 motoritsts attempting inter-state travel made to turn back
37 motorists attempted unauthorised inter-state travel yesterday, and were told to turn back.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says most of these attempts were in Melaka, followed by Negeri Sembilan and Pahang.
Meanwhile, 67 people were detained for breaching Conditional MCO SOPs, while 144 compounds were also issued.
