Government announces new SOPs, inlcuding allowing dine-in services during MCO

Good news as customers will be allowed to dine-in at restaurants during the Movement Control Order.

The Defence Minister says only two people can sit per table, under strict physical distancing rules.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob adds that restaurant owners must also ensure that at least one worker is monitoring SOP compliance.

Meanwhile, all remaining retail sectors will be allowed to resume operations during the MCO, including shops selling clothes and shoes.

On another note, Datuk Seri Ismail says athletes playing in Malaysia's Football, Hockey and Sepak Takraw Leagues can begin centralised training from Monday onwards.

He says they will have to follow strict health and safety guidelines.

He adds that the government is still considering a proposal to resume individual and non-contact sports activities.
