All states nationwide, except Sarawak will be under the Movement Control Order for another two weeks starting this Friday.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says SOPs will be tighter this time around.
Meanwhile, interstate travel is still banned during the MCO, which will likely affect those looking to balik kampung for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.

Malaysia reaches new record of COVID-19 deaths
Malaysia has reported its highest number of COVID-19 deaths today, after 21 more patients succumbed to the virus.
This raises the death toll to 791.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has recorded another 3,455 coronavirus cases.
Selangor had the highest number of infections, followed by Johor, KL, and Sabah.

Foreign workers won’t get their temporary passes renewed, if not tested for COVID-19
Employers have been urged to get their foreign workers tested for the coronavirus, following a recent spike in workplace-related clusters.
The HR Ministry says bosses who fail to do so by the end of the month, are at risk of having their workers’ temporary employment visit passes not renewed.
