Registration for Covid-19 vaccine to start in March

Registration for Covid-19 vaccination to members of the public is expected to kick off next month.

The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (MOSTI) says those interested have 5 ways to sign up for the vaccine and one is through the MySejahtera app.

Its Minister Khairy Jamaluddin reiterated that this will be on a voluntary basis.

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will be the first person in the country to receive the Covid-19 vaccine when the national immunisation programme is implemented later this month.

MOSTI says this will help provide confidence to the public that the vaccine is safe.

The number of patients recovering from Covid-19 has once again outnumbered new cases as 3,505 more were discharged.

This, as 3,318 new cases were reported yesterday, with Selangor accounting for more than a third of the infections.

The Health Ministry also reported 17 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 953.
