Those without smartphones in Malaysia can register for their Covid-19 vaccination via telephone hotline from this Friday (March 5).
Putrajaya says another alternative is to register online by visiting the government’s official website on vaccines.
Currently, the vaccine registration can be made via the MySejahtera app, and so far 1.67 million people have signed up to take the jab.
3 more vaccines get conditional approval
The Health Ministry has given conditional approval for 3 more Covid-19 vaccines, including from Sinovac and Pfizer, which are AstraZeneca, CoronaVac and Corminaty.
This means the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) will review the data by these companies to ensure the safety and effectiveness of these vaccines are updated constantly as well as the benefits over the risks of these vaccines remain positive.
The NPRA is still looking at two other vaccines, one from Russia and the other China.
Health DG: Public should remain vigilant after moving away from MCO
The Health Ministry has reminded the public to stay vigilant as more movements and activities are expected to take place in several states this Friday.
This follows the transition from the MCO to the conditional MCO in Selangor, KL, Johor and Penang.
In a related development, KL and Selangor residents may move between both areas without special permission but must have a police permit to enter Putrajaya for non-work reasons as the city is protected under the recovery MCO.
