Some 10 thousand personnel and volunteers from the Civil Defense Force will be mobilized to assist with the National Covid-19 Immunization Program.
Among other duties, they’ll be helping people - especially those in remote areas- register for the vaccine and also transport them to the vaccination centers.
The government is hoping that this will lead to more Malaysians coming forward to get vaccinated.

The Malaysian Medical Association is proposing that community leaders be roped in to encourage more Malaysians to register for the Covid-19 vaccination program via the MySejahtera app.
It feels that leaders from religious groups, business communities and even social influencers can all play a part in getting more people to sign up early.
The MMA fears that we may not reach the target of vaccinating 80 percent of the population by the first quarter of next year, if the number of new registrations does not pick up soon.

The 10 thousand ringgit fine for flouting SOP’s applies to all categories of the Movement Control Order.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob explained that the fine will be issued to offenders regardless if an area is under the MCO, CMCO or RMCO.
The maximum compound is aimed at repeat offenders and extreme violators of the SOP’s.
Other offenders who receive the summons, however, can appeal to the district health office to have it reduced.
