Malaysia to receive CanSino COVID-19 vaccine from this month

Malaysia is set to receive another brand of the COVID-19 vaccine starting this month.
The Health Minister says 3.5 million doses of China’s CanSino vaccine will be arriving in stages.
Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba adds that the vaccine will mainly be used in rural areas and for foreigners, as it can be administered in a single dose.

Community Internet Centers to help people sign up for COVID-19 vaccine
Community Internet Centers nationwide have been mobilised to help people sign up for the Immunisation Program.
The MCMC says it's to boost registration numbers especially among elderly folk.
It adds that workers will be stationed at the centers to aid those with their registration process.

Slight drop in new COVID-19 cases
There was a slight dip in new COVID-19 cases today, with 1,178 infections.
Sarawak, Selangor, and Penang had the highest number of infections, accounting for more than half of today’s total cases.
Meanwhile, the death toll rose by seven to 1,278.
