Teenager remanded for allegedly faking COVID-19 test result

A teenager in Johor has been remanded for three days for allegedly falsifying her COVID-19 test result.
She is accused of falsely claiming that she tested positive for the coronavirus, in order to get out of work at a restaurant there.
According to police, the employer had to temporarily shut down the eatery so that other workers could get tested, who were later found negative.

Police investigating approved blank interstate travel form
Police in Terengganu are looking into a viral post involving an individual’s application to cross state borders to travel to KL.
Cops say the permission form was allegedly approved before the applicant wrote any details.
According to initial investigations, the form was approved using a forged signature of the officer-in-charge of a police station.

1,285 new COVID-19 cases today
Malaysia reported 1,285 new COVID-19 cases today.
Selangor had the highest number of infections at 374, followed by Sarawak, and Penang.
Meanwhile, four more patients succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,308.
