New COVID-19 cases back to 2k!

Malaysia’s number of new COVID-19 cases returned to over 2,000 since early March.
This after the Health Ministry recorded 2,148 infections today.
Sarawak had the most cases, followed by Selangor, and Kelantan.
10 more patients have died due to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,363.

Interstate travel allowed for those bringing dependents for COVID-19 vaccination
Those living in other states will be allowed to cross state borders to accompany their aged or sick dependents for their COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
Minister-in-charge of the National Immunisation Program Khairy Jamaluddin says they will only need to show proof of the appointment to the police.
Currently, over 8.7 million people have signed up for the immunisation program.

Health Ministry recommends interstate travel to remain banned
The interstate travel ban could be enforced for longer, due to the country’s COVID-19 outbreak.
This, as the Health Ministry proposed that interstate travel during Hari Raya Aidilfitri be postponed.
