PM: Govt strives to fight Covid-19 pandemic

The Prime Minister has stressed that the government always strives to effectively fight Covid-19 in the country.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the meetings are held every single day, which he personally attends, to keep abreast of the latest developments on Covid-19 cases nationwide.
He adds that compared to other countries, the infection and death rate from the Covid-19 virus in Malaysia is very low.
Malaysia continues to record close to 3 thousand new Covid-19 cases, with 2,847 infections.
The Health Ministry says Selangor, Sarawak, and Kelantan had the most cases, while Perlis is the only state with no new infections.
Meanwhile, 8 more patients died due to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,415.
Covid-19 clusters involving educational institutions have doubled from six to 12 in a week.
39 clusters with almost 1,500 cases involving schools or institutions under the Education Ministry had been recorded so far this year.
Meanwhile, a school in Negeri Sembilan has been ordered to close until next Thursday after 17 individuals tested positive for Covid-19.
