UPSR to be abolished; 2021 PT3 cancelled

From this year onwards, the UPSR examination will be fully abolished.
The Education Ministry says a replacement examination will not be introduced for Standard 6 students.
It says students will be evaluated using a school-based assessment system.
It adds that the PT3 examination for 2021 will be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

New COVID-19 cases back to 3k
Malaysia’s number of new COVID-19 cases has reached over 3 thousand today.
The Health Ministry reported 3,142 infections, with Selangor having the most cases at 1,019.
Kelantan is second on the list, followed by KL, and Sarawak.
15 more patients succumbed to the virus.

AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine only for those who want it
The AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will not be included under the National Immunisation Program
The program's Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says the vaccine will instead be given through dedicated vaccination centers for those who wish to take the jab voluntarily.
He reiterated that the vaccine is safe, adding that the move is to avoid disrupting the ongoing program.
