Malaysia could record up to 10,000 Covid-19 cases daily after Hari Raya

Malaysia could record up to 10,000 Covid-19 cases daily after Hari Raya, if there is no intervention.
Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the need to reinstate the MCO is crucial to flatten the coronavirus curve.
This comes as 6 districts in Selangor go into MCO for two weeks starting today, while KL, parts of Johor, Terengganu and Perak will be subject to the same from tomorrow onwards.
All economic sectors, including the manufacturing sector in areas under the MCO, are allowed to operate as usual, with exceptions to certain activities.
The International Trade and Industry Ministry says the MCO 3.0 general SOPs are based on existing SOP except for dine-in which are not allowed in restaurants.
The earlier work-from-home order, which allows only one-third of management personnel to be in the office at any one time, will apply in MCO areas.
All government schools in Putrajaya and KL will be closed until tomorrow, following the MCOs imposed on Selangor and KL.
This came hours after the same directive was issued for Selangor.
The two-day closure will lead into the Hari Raya school break that was scheduled for May 10 to 16.
