Malaysia registered 4,113 Covid-19 cases yesterday, along with 34 fatalities.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with over 1 thousand cases, followed by Sarawak and Kelantan.

There are currently more than 41,000 people seeking treatment for the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has detected 13 new Covid-19 clusters in the country.

It says 4 each were workplace and community clusters, while 2 clusters each were linked to religious activities and the education sector and the remaining one was linked to a high-risk group.

Kedah will open another Covid-19 quarantine and treatment Center in Jitra, as the existing centre is unable to cope with the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the state.

State officials had identified a hall in there deemed suitable to be used, but the plan had previously been postponed due to technical problems.

The cops say the pictures actually showed house-to-house inspections at a residential area there.
