Msia's healthcare system would have collapsed this weekend, if lockdown was not imposed

The Health Ministry says the country’s healthcare system would have collapsed by this weekend, if the government did not enforce the total
lockdown.
It adds that without the current restrictions, the number of Covid-19 cases would have continued to surge to 13,000 infections.
The country is currently under a full lockdown, which is scheduled to end on June 14th
Malaysia's Covid-19 death toll has surpassed 3,000, with 103 fatalities reported yesterday.
The Health Ministry also reported about 7 thousand recoveries, the highest since the pandemic began.
This as 8,209 Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday.
A Covid-19 Vaccination Centre catering especially to the visually impaired will be opened today at the Malaysian Association for the Blind in Brickfields.
The PPV aims to inoculate 200 people a day on weekdays under the National Immunisation Programme.
