Another round of home-based learning for students

Teachers and students will undergo another round of home-based teaching and learning…when the school session reopens on June 13th and 14th.
The online classes will continue for 25 days until the next term break in mid-July.
Another announcement will be made later, regarding the status of classes after the July holidays.
Meanwhile, the Senior Minister for Education has also announced that Form Five students will sit for their SPM exams in March 2022…with the oral and practical exams to take place in February.

The Health Ministry, together with the Institute for Clinical Research has started clinical trials to study the use of Ivermectin for high-risk Covid-19 patients.
The FDA-approved drug has shown some promise when used on an ‘off-label’ basis to treat the coronavirus…although there is not enough conclusive evidence to recommend its routine use for Covid.

Three vaccination centers at higher learning institutions will begin operations soon.
The Higher Education Ministry says the center at UiTM Puncak Alam will start operating tomorrow, while the ones at USM and the USM Advanced Medical and Dental Institute will open on the 14th.

Police have approved some 12 thousand applications for inter-district and inter-state travel, since the total lockdown came into force on June 1st.
The Home Ministry says the approvals were given for deaths, emergencies and for self-employed applicants.
