300 thousand COVID-19 vaccine doses a day by August

Up to 300 thousand COVID-19 vaccine doses could be administered per day by August.
However, the National Immunisation Program’s Coordinating Minister says this will depend on supplies arriving as scheduled.
Khairy Jamaluddin says that by ramping up the daily vaccination rate, he is confident that 80% of the population will be immunised by October.
Currently, over 10% of the population have been vaccinated, with more than 12.7 million people already registered for the vaccine.

New COVID-19 cases below 6k again
Malaysia’s number of new COVID-19 cases has remained below the 6,000 mark for a second consecutive day.
The Health Ministry reported 5,566 infections today, with 1,524 cases detected in Selangor alone.
Meanwhile, 76 more patients succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 3,536.

Full report on LRT accident complete
Authorities have completed the report regarding the LRT train collision along the Kelana Jaya line last month.
The Transport Ministry says the report will be presented during an upcoming Cabinet Meeting, along with several safety proposals.
Over 200 people were involved in the accident, after the LRT train they were on collided with an empty train near the KLCC train station.
