PM announces National Recovery Plan

The government has announced a National Recovery Plan, which will allow the country to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic in stages.
PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the recovery plan has four phases, with the first phase already enforced with the current nationwide lockdown.
He says the country will only enter Phase 2 once average daily COVID-19 cases drop to below 4,000 infections.
Meanwhile, he expects Malaysia to enter the final phase of the recovery plan from November with fewer than 500 daily cases on average.

New COVID-19 cases back to 5k mark
Malaysia's number of new COVID-19 cases has returned to the 5,000 mark, with 5,419 infections today.
Selangor, Sarawak, and KL had the most cases, accounting for more than half of today's total.
Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 4,069 after 101 patients succumbed to the virus.

University probes allegations that student banned from taking exam, because not vaccinated
A university in KL is investigating claims alleging its management denied a student from their examination, because they were not vaccinated against COVID-19.
Reports claim that the student was told to leave the exam hall, as they had yet to receive their vaccination appointment.
A video of the incident went viral on social media.
