Mix and match vaccines approach still being studied

The government has yet to make any decision on mixing and matching Covid-19 vaccines.

Vaccine authorities say the proposal for this vaccination approach, already implemented by several countries worldwide, was presented at a meeting and no decision was made.

Earlier, Minister in-charge of the vaccination programme Khairy Jamaluddin said this approach could help boost vaccine efficacy against new variants.

There was a slight rise in the number of Covid-19 cases, after we reported 5,738 yesterday.

Selangor and Negeri Sembilan both reported over 1 thousand cases, while 641 infections were detected in KL.

The Health Ministry recorded 60 Covid-19 deaths, pushing the death toll to 4,202.

PDRM is offering traffic offenders a 50% discount to settle any outstanding summonses online from today until July 18^th.

However, this does not apply to summonses currently under trial, major offences as well as offences involving heavy vehicles and exhaust modifications.
