The Covid-19 vaccines are provided for free to all people in Malaysia.

Immunisation programme Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says they are not to pay for any consultation, administrative or vaccination fee to anyone.

He adds that employers are not allowed to push any administrative cost to their employees for their vaccination process.

Malaysia reported a rise in Covid-19 infections, with 5,841 cases yesterday.

The Health Ministry detected 2,072 cases in Selangor alone.

Negeri Sembilan had the second most infections, while Sarawak and KL recorded over 500 cases each.

Shah Alam Hospital has changed its status from being a hybrid hospital into the first fully non-Covid-19 hospital in Selangor.

Health authorities say they will now only receive non-Covid-19 cases and pandemic cases would only be attended at the emergency department level.
