Mental illness a 'silent killer', says psychologist | Astro Awani

The public has been urged to be more aware of their surroundings to detect early symptoms of depression which could lead to suicidal tendencies.

The Health Ministry revealed that the number of suicide cases reported to the police rose to 631 in 2020 from 609 the previous year.

It says the Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact towards the mental health of individuals all over the world.

Malaysia reported 6,437 Covid-19 cases yesterday- the first time in 11 days it climbed above 6 thousand mark.

Active cases have been on a 5-day uptrend.
