Schools to reopen in stages from September

It's back to school as students will return to physical classes in stages from September.
The Education Ministry says this is after considering the current COVID-19 situation and vaccination rate.
It adds that it will continue with efforts to ensure more teachers, and school staff are immunised against the coronavirus.
So far, over a quarter of a million teachers have already received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Cops won’t accept MITI letter as valid travel permits for four days
Starting today until Wednesday, police will not accept International Trade and Industry Ministry letters as valid travel permits to cross state and district borders.
The IGP says it's to prevent people from abusing the letter to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, such travels will be allowed for emergencies, as well as vaccination purposes.

Record breaking 138 COVID-19 deaths
Malaysia reported its highest number of COVID-19 deaths yesterday, after 138 patients succumbed to the virus.
This, as the Health Ministry detected 12,528 new infections nationwide.
Selangor had the most cases, ahead of KL, and Negeri Sembilan.
