Anyone who got 'empty' vaccine shots will be called in for proper shots
Jul 21, 2021
Anyone who has proven to have been given an empty syringe vaccine shot will be given a new injection.
The Health Minister told Berita Harian the individuals that received an empty shot will be notified to take their shot again.
This is after vaccine authorities said it had taken action against a healthcare worker for not injecting the vaccine dose into the recipient's arm at a drive-through vaccination centre in Kedah.
The Health Director General has maintained that the Pfizer and Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines are equally effective against the virus, citing real world data in Chile and Israel.
He says both vaccines are very effective in preventing severe Covid-19 and hospitalisation.
Malaysia reported a rise in Covid-19 cases yesterday, with 12,366 infections.
Selangor reported over 5,000cases, followed by KL and Negri Sembilan.
Another 93 fatalities were recorded yesterday.
