COVID-19 vaccine recipients are allowed to document themselves getting the injection at vaccination centers.

The Immunisation Program's Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says it’s to dismiss any doubts among recipients over their vaccinations.

He says health workers will also show recipients the syringe used before administering the injection.

This comes amid recent allegations that some recipients were injected with empty syringes.

Malaysia reported a record breaking 15,573 new COVID-19 infections today.

According to the Health Ministry, over 7,000 cases were detected in Selangor alone.

It also recorded 144 more deaths, raising the death toll to 7,718

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has praised all Malaysians, especially frontliners, for their support in the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program.

Malaysia hit a new record for daily vaccinations, after over half a million people were given the jab yesterday.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin hopes the vaccination rate will continue to be boosted, to ensure the country reaches its target of fully immunizing some 26 million people.
