Malaysia records over 200 more COVID-19 deaths

Malaysia’s number of new COVID-19 infections rose to 16,117 cases today.
The Health Ministry detected over 6,000 cases in Selangor alone.
It also recorded 207 more deaths, raising the death toll to 8,408.

Close to a quarter of the adult population now fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Almost a quarter of the country's adult population have already completed both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
This means more than 5.7 million people are now fully vaccinated.
Overall, nearly 18 million doses have now been administered nationwide.

Labuan among first to reach COVID-19 herd immunity
Labuan has become one of the first areas to reach herd immunity against the coronavirus.
Authorities say almost 55,000 residents are now fully immunised, which accounts for 80% of its adult population.
They hit the target three days ahead of schedule.
