New COVID-19 cases reach all time high

Malaysia has hit another grim milestone, after we reported a record breaking 22,242 new COVID-19 cases today.
According to the Health Ministry, the bulk of the total was detected in Selangor, ahead of Sabah, and Penang.
Labuan had five.

New PM must prove majority in Parliament
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has decreed that the newly appointed PM must table a vote of confidence soon.
It’s to prove he enjoys majority support among lawmakers.
Istana Negara says the Agong also decreed existing efforts to combat the coronavirus must be maintained.
These are among the Agong’s decrees to political leaders, following their audience with the King at Istana Negara yesterday.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong to chair special meeting with Malay Rulers
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong is set to chair a special meeting with the Malay Rulers on Friday.
The Comptroller of the Royal Household says it’s to discuss the country’s current political situation.
This, as all MPs were ordered to submit their candidate for the 9th Prime Minister today.
