Over 22k new COVID-19 cases

Daily Covid-19 cases in Malaysia went up for a second straight day, with 22,642 infections reported today.
Most of today’s cases were detected in Selangor, at over 6,000.
Meanwhile, over 3,000 infections were found in Sabah.
Several states including Kedah, Johor, Penang, and Sarawak also had four-digit cases.

Food premises will be ordered to shut if they fail to follow COVID-19 guidelines.
Bukit Aman reminded everyone not to take advantage of the relaxed SOPs, as they’re meant to revive the economy.
This is after an unvaccinated couple were arrested recently, for allegedly eating at a restaurant as part of a supposed social experiment.

Selangor getting ready to give out booster COVID vaccine shots
Selangor says it is preparing to administer COVID vaccine booster shots pending approval by the authorities.
State officials say it is also getting ready to immunize those below the age of 18.
Nationwide, some 32 million doses have already been given out under the National Immunisation Program.
