PM forced to miss Cabinet swearing-in ceremony

31 Cabinet ministers and 37 deputies have been sworn in before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara.
Meanwhile, PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob was not in attendance.
He was ordered to undergo quarantine at home, after coming into close contact with a coronavirus patient.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Mohd Alamin was also forced to miss the event, after he tested positive for COVID-19.

New COVID-19 cases dip below 20k mark
Malaysia reported fewer than 20,000 new COVID-19 cases for the first time in almost a week.
19,268 infections were detected today, with most of the cases found in Selangor.
Meanwhile, Sabah, Johor, Kedah, and Sarawak recorded over 2,000 infections each.

Over 1,300 teachers in Perak have yet to take COVID-19 vaccine
Nearly all primary school and secondary teachers in Perak have already received their shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
State authorities say out of some 37,000 educators, over 1,300 have yet to be vaccinated.
They say such teachers are either still waiting for their appointments or have yet to register for the jab.
