Fully vaxxed uni students to return to campus

University students nationwide will be allowed to gradually return to their campuses starting October 15th.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad says the move will only involve those who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus…
She says students in the Peninsula will need a permission letter from their respective unis.
While those in Sarawak, Sabah, and Labuan must obtain police permission to cross district and state borders, as well as undergo testing.
Such students can get tested for free at government health clinics.

PM: Lockdown approach no longer apt as it could lead to more harm than good
The reopening of several economic sectors was to help the rakyat, who've been hit hard by the ongoing pandemic.
PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob told Parliament, the lockdown approach is no longer apt, adding that it could lead to more negative implications, including on one's mental health.
He adds that allowing such sectors to resume in areas under Phase 1 of the National Recovery Plan was due to the country's rising vaccination rate.

New COVID-19 cases continue to drop
Daily COVID-19 cases in Malaysia continued to drop, after we logged 15,669 infections today.
Selangor had the most cases, followed by Sarawak and Johor.
Labuan was the only area with single digit cases.
