Covid-19 infection showing downward trend

The number of new Covid-19 cases daily continues to show improvement.

The country’s Covid-19 cases continue to drop for the second day in a row, with 5,745.

The Health Ministry says daily cases, fatalities, hospitalisation and ICU rates last week were generally showing a descending trend.

As such it urged the public not to be complacent and to continue adhering to SOPs.

The Health Ministry has tracked down 134 new Covid-19 cases involving variants of concern this month.

Most of it comprised the Delta variant.

A married couple in Johor has been fined RM2,000 each for travelling without being fully vaccinated when they were stopped at a roadblock in Kota Tinggi.

They were travelling from Perak and were heading to the husband's hometown in Johor.
