Continue complying with SOPs during Deepavali
Nov 02, 2021
Those celebrating Deepavali this Thursday have been reminded to continue complying with Covid-19 SOPs.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says everyone should continue to be vigilant to protect themselves from getting infected.
A quick reminder on what those SOPs are -
- only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to go to temples and cemeteries, or
visit other peoples’ homes, and,
- Parades and dining-in activities at temples are not allowed.
Grocery shops, convenience stores and Chinese medicine halls in KL will only be allowed to sell liquor from 7am till 9pm.
DBKL says outlets must provide a separate display space and sales area for alcoholic beverages, which must be closed after the permitted time.
Malaysia’s Covid-19 cases are on a downward trend.
This as the Health Ministry confirmed 4,626 infections yesterday.
The majority of the cases were either asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic.
