AZ, Sinovac Can Be Used As Booster Shots

The AstraZeneca and Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines have been given conditional approval to be used as booster shots.
The boosters will be given to AstraZeneca and Sinovac recipients aged 18 and above.
For AstraZeneca recipients, the boosters will be given 6 months after they received their second dose.
As for Sinovac, the waiting period will be between 3 to 6 months.

Daily COVID-19 Cases Surge Past 6k
Daily COVID-19 cases have risen, with 6,288 new transmissions reported today.
This is over 800 cases higher than what the Health Ministry reported yesterday.
It comes a day after the Health Director-General warned of another potential surge in Covid infections in the coming weeks.
It's due to the recent rise in Malaysia's infectivity rate, with the R-Nought value currently at 1.04.

KKM To Submit Memorandum To Halt Suicide Attempt Convictions
The Health Ministry will soon submit a memorandum, to halt convictions for those who attempt suicide.
Its minister Khairy Jamaluddin says such sentences will be deferred until the relevant law is amended to decriminalise attempted suicide.
The memorandum is now with the ministry's Cabinet Unit and pending review by other ministries.
