AstraZeneca, Sinovac vaccines approved as Covid-19 booster shots

The AstraZeneca and Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines have been given conditional approval, to be used as booster shots.

The boosters will be given to AstraZeneca and Sinovac recipients aged 18 and above.

For AZ recipients, the boosters will be given 6 months after they received their second dose.

As for Sinovac, the waiting period will be between 3 to 6 months.

Malaysia reported another rise in Covid-19 cases yesterday, at 6,288.

It's the first time in 5 days that daily infections have gone past the 6 thousand mark.

The government is expected to provide incentives of up to 80% to SOCSO contributors under the Social Security Scheme for the Self Employed next year.

The deputy Human Resources Minister says this will also benefit individuals working in the p-hailing sector.
