Main Covid-19 indicators show a decline

Most main Covid-19 indicators in the country have shown a reduction.
Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says we reported fewer new cases, deaths and ventilator use yesterday.
However, there was a slight increase in the country’s infectivity rate…as well as an uptick in new clusters involving education institutions.
We reported 4,262 new infections yesterday, while there were also more than 5,800 recoveries.

Malaysia has decided to donate more than half a million doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine to Bangladesh and Laos, to help these countries improve their vaccination rate.
Our Health Ministry also assured that despite the donation, we still have sufficient supply for our own use.

At least one low-risk Covid-19 quarantine and treatment center will remain operational in each state.
The National Disaster Management Agency says this is a precaution, to support the public health system in the event of a spike in coronavirus cases.

The government is setting up a panel of experts, to review the ceiling price of existing affordable housing.
The current ceiling price is set at 300 thousand ringgit.
The Housing and Local Government Ministry explained that since the pandemic, some from the M40 group had slipped into the B40 category…and need more assistance to afford a home.

PDRM says nearly 25 thousand summonses were issued last month alone, for the use of fancy or illegal vehicle number plates.
Motorcyclists were the biggest culprits, accounting for almost half of the booked offenders.
