MET Malaysia: Bad weather alert!

Residents in the northern Peninsular are urged to brace themselves for bad weather!
Weather officials have detected a low-pressure system, which may cause thunderstorms in those states today and tomorrow.
It also confirmed that Typhoon Rai will not affect Malaysia as it is currently heading away from us, in a direction north-east of Da Nang, Vietnam.
The government has announced more flood relief funding for individuals and businesses.
The PM says affected SMEs can apply for up to RM5,000 in financing through Bank Simpanan Nasional.
The financing is interest-free with the payment period to commence only after 6 months after the agreement is signed.
Meanwhile, he explained that households affected by the floods will be eligible for the RM1,000 cash aid regardless of whether they are placed at a relief centre.
Flood victims who have lost their ICs, passports and important documents under agencies of the Home Ministry will be able to get replacements for free.
The National Registration Department and Immigration Department will assist all victims.
