Covid-19 self-tests for primary school pupils will be conducted at home starting this week.

The Education Minister says 10% of students will be selected on a weekly basis to do the tests at home.

New Covid-19 cases in Malaysia have risen above the 3 thousand mark.

According to the Health Director General, new infections stood at 3,175 today.

It's up by more than 500 cases compared to yesterday.

Authorities are working closely with the police to track down people who had obtained fake Covid-19 vaccination certificates from a private clinic in Terengganu.

State officials say they will provide counseling and advise the group to get their vaccination if it is true that they had indeed obtained the fake cert.

Meanwhile, the private clinic doctor, who was arrested for allegedly giving out the fake vaccination certs, has had his remand order extended for 2 days.

Police say according to initial investigations, nearly 2 thousand people were found to be dealing with the clinic for vaccination purposes.
