EC set to add new voters to electoral roll on Sunday

5.8 million more people will be eligible to vote at any election called after January 16.

This, once the Election Commission completes the automatic voter registration system.

Its deputy chairman told Malay Mail, this includes about 1.2 million voters aged between 18 and 21.

However, eligible voters are advised to ensure that the registered address on their ICs is current, to avoid any problems when they take part in elections.

Over 8.2 million COVID-19 booster shots have now been given out nationwide.

According to the Health Ministry's data, they were among the 59 million doses that have been administered to date.

Also, 97.8% of the adult population is now fully vaccinated, while the percentage for adolescents is 88%.

Pahang has fully recovered from floods after its last relief center in Pekan ended its operation last night.

21 deaths were reported during the first wave of floods that began on December 17th.

Nearly 70 thousand evacuees were placed in flood relief centers during the first wave of floods.
