Cash aid for Perak freak storm victims

Financial aid is set to be given to households that were affected by the recent freak storm in Perak.
Its Menteri Besar says the state government will provide RM300 to each affected household today.
He adds that NADMA will distribute cash aid worth RM1,000 soon.

UM researchers develop face mask sterilisation machine
A group of researchers from UM have developed a machine to sterilise face masks, allowing them to be reused.
The project’s chief researcher says the machine, which resembles a microwave, will decontaminate used face masks from viruses including COVID-19.
The sterilisation process takes around seven minutes to complete.
He adds that the technology will likely benefit Malaysia’s medical sector by saving millions of ringgit on mask purchases.

4 PPVs in the Klang Valley to close for CNY
Four integrated COVID-19 vaccination centres in the Klang Valley will be closed tomorrow until Wednesday, in conjunction with Chinese New Year.
They are the World Trade Center and Axiata Arena in KL, Soka Gakkai hall in Klang, and Shah Alam’s IDCC.
Authorities add that only certain PPVs will be opened, strictly for those with appointments.
