Starting next week, schools in Sabah that record at least two positive Covid cases, will be closed for a week.

Authorities say cases will have to include at least one internally transmitted case among teachers, students or staff.

This, as Sabah reported four new Covid clusters there yesterday, all of them education-linked.

Climate change will soon be taught as a subject in schools and universities.

It comes in the wake of some of the worst flooding in Peninsular Malaysia recently.

The Prime Minister says this is part of a whole-of-society approach to deal with future floods…which will also include cooperation with civil society groups and improving infrastructure.

Police say there is nothing to suggest that armed men had infiltrated the waters off Lahad Datu in Sabah recently.

The state police commissioner says his men have conducted investigations into the claims, with no evidence of an intrusion so far.

More than two thousand Mamak restaurants have been forced to close over the past two years, due to a manpower shortage caused by the pandemic.

The Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Owners Association told Berita Harian its members have tried hiring locals, but the response from Malaysians has been poor.
