Some parents are still hesitant to allow their children to take the COVID-19 vaccine due to fears of their kids experiencing adverse side effects.

As such, the Malaysian Medical Association has advised such parents to consult with health experts to address any doubts they may have over the vaccination.

It’s so parents can receive verified information to make informed decisions on whether to get their kids immunised.

PM’s visit to Thailand expected to bring ‘good news’

Malaysia is expected to see some positive developments in the reopening of the Malaysia-Thailand border.

This, as the Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Thailand for an official visit this week.

The Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand adds that the PM will also discuss recognizing vaccination certificates from both countries, among others.

Last week, Thailand said it plans to reopen its borders with us next month, to boost tourist arrivals.

Health Minister hopes parents do away with wait-and-see approach

The Health Minister hopes parents will no longer adopt a wait-and-see attitude when it comes to getting their children vaccinated against COVID-19.

It’s because the hospital admission rate among kids has started to rise.

As such, Khairy Jamaluddin has reminded parents to register their kids to receive the jab immediately.

So far, more than 1 million children have been signed up under the PICKids vaccination program.
