Only 57 AEFI cases among PICKids recipients

So far, 57 cases of adverse side effects have been reported among 5-11 year-olds who have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Health MInistry says only one of them had serious side effects, due to underlying health conditions.
However, the patient has since made a full recovery.
Around 560 thousand young children have already received their first dose under the PICKids programme.

No test-kit supply shortage here

There's no need to hoard supplies of COVID-19 self test kits or resort to panic buying.
The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says so far this year, it has only received THREE reports of supply shortages.
Based on its data, there are some 18 million units of self test kits currently available in the market.

Malaysia inches closer to reopening borders
The government is close to announcing the date for the reopening of our international borders.
National Recovery Council says the Health Ministry is currently in the final stages of drafting the relevant SOPs.
Its chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin adds that that the borders should be reopened as soon as possible, to help boost the country's economic recovery.
Muhyiddin also expressed hope for the SOPs to be accommodating and would not affect the reopening of borders.
