Millions expected to lose fully vaccinated status

Some 2 million Sinovac vaccine recipients are at risk of losing their fully vaccinated status, if they fail to get their COVID-19 booster shot by next Thursday.

The Health Minister adds that both Malaysia and Singapore have agreed that Sinovac recipients must receive 3 vaccine doses to be considered fully vaccinated.

As such, those who are no longer fully vaccinated will be barred from enjoying quarantine-free travel to Singapore.

Starting April 1st, fully immunised individuals will be allowed to travel to Singapore via land without having to undergo quarantine or testing.

Daily COVID cases climb to 24k

Daily COVID-19 infections rose again after we reported 24,316 cases yesterday, some 1,800 cases more than the previous day.

Meanwhile, a further 64 fatalities were recorded nationwide, including 18 brought-in-dead cases.

Most of the fatalities were detected in Johor, Perak, and Kedah.

There were also more than 25,000 recoveries.

Motion defeat does not automatically terminate MoU

The defeat of a government motion does NOT mean the automatic termination of the Memorandum of Understanding between Putrajaya and Pakatan Harapan.

The De facto Law Minister says the MoU will only end when both parties involved mutually agree to its termination.

This comes after MPs called for the MoU to be reviewed, after the Opposition bloc rejected a motion brought by the Home Minister recently.
