Some mamak restaurants are still unable to operate for 24 hours.
The Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Owners Association says it’s because of a lack of manpower.
It says currently, only a quarter of its members nationwide can operate for 24 hours.
As such, it urged the government to ease the burden of such restaurants, by facilitating the entry of foreign workers into the country.

Please don’t bring your kids to Ramadan bazaars
The Prime Minister has echoed the Health Ministry’s calls to advise parents not to bring their kids to Ramadan bazaars.
Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says it’s to protect them from the coronavirus.
He says even though physical distancing is no longer mandatory as we transition to endemicity, it is our responsibility to ensure the health and safety of our loved ones.

New COVID-19 cases fall to 10K
Malaysia reported another drop in daily COVID-19 cases at 10,002 yesterday, which is some 2,300 infections lower than the previous day.
A further 28 fatalities were recorded nationwide, including seven brought in dead cases.
Most of the deaths were detected in Selangor and Perak with six deaths each, followed by Johor, and Penang.
Meanwhile, recoveries stood at some 23,000.
