Cops identify remaining three victims of NSE crash

Police in Perak have identified the identities of the remaining three university students who were killed in a crash along the North South Expressway recently.
Cops say the identities were confirmed through dental records adding that the victims’ remains are expected to be handed over to their next of kin soon.
The victims were burned to death after their car caught fire following a collision with two trailers.
Meanwhile, JPJ says the trailer driver who was earlier arrested as part of investigations into the crash has nine offences in Road Transport Department records.

PICKids: Over 1 mil children now fully vaxxed
More than 1 million children are now fully vaccinated under the COVID-19 PICKids program.
This accounts for over 28% of kids aged 5 to 11.
Meanwhile, more than 45% of kids in this age group are now partially immunised.

Daily COVID cases cross 3K for third consecutive day
Daily COVID-19 cases have crossed 3,000 for the third day in a row, after we reported 3,029 infections yesterday.
It’s down by some 380 cases from the previous day’s tally.
Meanwhile, a further 5 fatalities were recorded nationwide, including 1 brought-in-dead case.
Recoveries stood at some 1,000.
