Don't join unknown WhatsApp groups

Malaysians are advised not to join random or unknown WhatsApp groups.
The Personal Data Protection Commissioner says those who do, are at risk of having their number secretly shared with scammers or telemarketing agencies.
He says since WhatsApp is the main communication medium for Malaysians, many of us will be exposed to potential fraud if our numbers are easily shared.

There is no more large-scale enforcement of Covid-19 SOP’s under Ops Patuh.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin says the national-level operation involving 32 ministries and agencies was ended this week because the country has entered the transition to Covid endemicity.
He adds that moving forward, the police will continue to collaborate with the Health Ministry to ensure SOP compliance with more of a focus on advocacy.
The number of new daily Covid-19 cases is back above the two thousand-mark…with 2,025 new infections reported nationwide yesterday.
There were also four fatalities – one of which was a brought in dead case.
Meanwhile, recoveries stood at over 2,300…once again exceeding the number of new infections.

Ghislaine Maxwell has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, for helping her partner - the late Jeffrey Epstein- sexually abuse teenage girls.
Epstein himself committed suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 while awaiting his own sex trafficking trial.
