Ceiling price for bottled cooking oil to be gazetted soon
The maximum retail price for bottled cooking oil will be gazetted soon.
The special task force against inflation says the move is necessary after talks with industry players to lower its price proved to be ineffective, despite the drop in crude palm oil prices.
It also says that the export of cooking oil in polybags has been halted.
It’s to avoid confusion among enforcement officers because subsidised cooking oil is also sold in polybags.
