good response to mysj organ donation drive

There’s been encouraging response to the organ donation drive on MySejahtera.

The Health Ministry says more than 4,500 individuals have made their pledges via the app so far.

This is an average of 700 organ pledges a day, since the feature was made available earlier this month.

New Covid-19 cases remained below the two thousand mark for the fifth straight day, with 1,942 infections reported yesterday.

There were also more than 2,200 recoveries and six additional fatalities.

Meanwhile, summonses will no longer be issued for not wearing face masks in public.

The Health Ministry says this follows the recent move to make it optional to mask up in most public settings.

However, it once again reminded that people are still encouraged to wear face masks as a precaution against Covid.

The government has made a decision on the alternative sentence to the mandatory death penalty.

The de facto Law Minister says the decision will be presented to the Cabinet for consideration, before being tabled in Parliament for first reading next month.

High salary offers, and a lack of awareness have been blamed for the high number of Malaysians falling victim to job scam syndicates in Cambodia.

Our ambassador to Cambodia adds that some are also desperate, after losing their jobs during the pandemic.

Preparations are in full swing to face the year-end flooding.

The Fire and Rescue Department says it has more than 12 thousand personnel on standby nationwide…in addition to water assets and aircraft.

It adds that its now determining the flood hotspots in each state and will channel more resources to these locations.
