Expect to see the Menu Rahmah programme in more areas soon.

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister says the programme, which offers RM5 meals, will be extended to public higher learning institutions after Hari Raya Aidilfitri starting with 20 IPTAs in the Klang Valley.

The programme will eventually be expanded to cover private unis as well.

Meanwhile, a number of fast food chains will meet with the ministry this coming week about introducing Menu Rahmah at their outlets as well.

The IGP says the dress code for people visiting police stations can be relaxed in cases of emergencies.

This, after a woman who wanted to lodge an accident report was turned away from the Kajang police HQ because she was wearing shorts.

Meanwhile FORMER IGP Tan Sri Musa Hassan says he disagrees with the dress code.

He says the police have a duty to receive reports from the public in ANY situation, as it could involve matters of life and death.
