Our very own Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh has created history by winning the Best Actress prize at the Academy Awards for her role in Everything Everywhere All At Once.

She beat the likes of fellow favourite Cate Blanchett and Ana de Armas to the highly-coveted award.

The Malaysian star is now the first-ever Asian to win an Oscar in that category.

Tan Sri Michelle’s Academy Awards win also comes on the back of earlier victories at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards, to complete her sweep of major Hollywood honours.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been hit with a seventh criminal charge.

The Perikatan Nasional chairman was charged with one count of money laundering at the Shah Alam Sessions Court this morning, in connection to funds channelled into the party account of Bersatu.

The former Prime Minister had previously been charged with six counts of corruption and money laundering involving over 420 million ringgit, at the KL Sessions Court on Friday.

The Health Ministry is calling for the participation of private GP’s and contract doctors, to help ensure the success of the extended operating hours for government health clinics.

52 such clinics nationwide have been identified for the initiative, which aims to reduce the burden on government hospital emergency departments.

Separately, the ministry says efforts are being taken to help kidney patients – including facilitating more transplants.

This, amid an increase in the number of chronic kidney patients from 9.7 to 15.5 percent, in the seven years to 2018.

The Deputy Prime Minister says students from flood-hit schools in Johor will be placed at temporary premises, to ensure the teaching and learning process is not interrupted.

This, as the number of flood evacuees in Johor remains at around 40 thousand.

The Transport Ministry has launched a feasibility study on the use of micro-mobility vehicles.

This is to monitor its use in terms of enforcement, licensing and usability of infrastructure.
