Datuk Seri Najib to remain behind bars

The Federal Court has denied Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s bid to review his conviction and sentence in the SRC International case.
The apex court reached the decision with a 4-1 majority, after the panel found no bias or breach of natural justice.
This means the former Prime Minister will have to serve out the remainder of his 12-year jail term.

The operations of six stations along the Ampang-Sri Petaling LRT line will be suspended starting Sunday.
The stations involved are Bandaraya, Sultan Ismail, PWTC, Titiwangsa, Sentul and Sentul Timur.
Rapid Rail says this is because the trains used for services between these stations no longer meet the operational criteria, and have to be taken out of service for safety reasons.
It adds that free bus services will be provided, to facilitate the journey of affected commuters.

The Credit Management and Counselling Agency or AKPK says its taking some of its operational systems offline for the time being, to prevent further risks after a recent breach of its IT system.
It says it will bring the system back online when it is safe to do so.
The agency adds that that arrangements have also been made to maintain customer services with as little disruption as possible.

Trump – who is the first former US president to face criminal charges – has denied any wrongdoing.
US sources say he will likely surrender to the authorities next week ahead of his formal arrest.
